3 Essential Items To Bring With You To Your Next Outdoor Craft Show

by Roy Morris

Are you attending an outdoor craft show in the next few weeks? You may put together your own crafts and sell them to people, such as jewelry, clothing, or even crocheted items. No matter what you are selling, it is important that you are prepared for the outdoor craft show. There are some items you should make sure to bring along with you so that you can have the absolute best time while trying to sell the items you have made.

1. Bring an EZ Up Canopy to Use With Your Craft Table

One must-have item you should consider bringing with you to the outdoor craft show is an EZ up canopy that you can place directly over your table. If it is a hot day outside and the sun is shining bright, you may end up feeling extremely hot. You could even end up dealing with sunburn from sitting outside for such a long period of time. If you are sitting at the table underneath the canopy, you will have extra protection from the sun, and you can stay a bit more comfortable instead of getting excessively hot. If it rains during the craft show, you will not have to worry about your crafts getting ruined.

2. Create an Attractive Sign to Get Attention

There may be many other people sitting at their own tables with beautiful crafts they have created. One way to deal with the competition is to make sure you have the attention of people attending the craft show. You should have an attractive sign created. You can make your own sign with poster board and paint, or you can choose to have a banner designed specifically for the event. When people see that banner hanging up, they may want to head over to your table and check things out.

3. Bring a Set of Stools

It may sound unusual, but bringing a set of stools with you can come in handy. You may want to sit down on a stool instead of standing the whole day. However, you should have enough stools so that at least two other people can sit down while checking out your crafts on the table. Some people may want to ask you questions before they buy anything from you. Instead of making them stand while having conversations with them, you can have these stools available so they can take a seat and talk to you about your crafts.

These are some of the things you might want to have with you when setting up your table at the outdoor craft show. It is important for you to stay comfortable while drawing attention to your table and keep your items protected from both the sun and the rain just in case it is raining or extremely hot on the day of the event.

About Me

Brick & Mortar Vs Online Businesses: My Experience

I have owned my own small businesses for years, and I have always been happy to share my business tips with other entrepreneurs, especially those just starting out. One question I get asked about a lot is whether it is a better idea for a beginner to open an online business or a brick & mortar shop. While I wish I had a one-size-fits all answer, the truth is that it really depends on what you are selling (or what service you are providing), how the economy is doing in your local area, and your personal business goals and dreams. However, every brick & mortar business should have a website today, and it only makes sense to sell products on a website that your business needs anyway. I have many more business tips to share, and I decided to start a blog to share them with all aspiring entrepreneurs!
