How Video Games Are Developed Using Scrum

by Roy Morris

Scrum software training courses can be very effective tools when you are first starting out in the world of video game development. Now, you might be thinking, "How can a term related to a rugby game help with video game development?" In this case, scrum has been borrowed from rugby to be applied to business and computer software applications. Once you understand how scrum software works, then you will also understand how training everyone on a game development team to use scrum and using this software will quickly advance the development of every game you hope to build and sell from your company.

Scrum Is Team Software

First and foremost, you have to know and understand that scrum is team software. This kind of software takes teams of ten or less people, and assigns every member a list of tasks that each member is expected to complete independently and collaboratively. Each person begins working on his/her own set of tasks, but each person is also working toward a common goal. When each person is nearly complete with his/her set of tasks, the next person is contacted through the software program to see if the next person is almost finished with his/her tasks. As each person finishes the tasks assigned to him/her, he/she passes the finished section of the project onto the next team member, who will refine those completed tasks and add his/her tasks to the completed project thus far. This continues until everyone in the team has completed and added the work together in a cohesive and uniform project/file.

Building a Video Game Requires Team Effort

By learning scrum software, your team learns to work together when building a video game. Each person knows his/her own strengths, and knows that he/she should expect a part in the upcoming project. During the video game develop phases, everyone is also assigned tasks to complete individually and collaboratively. Having already trained with scrum software, a lot of the formalities and assigned tasks will be similar to what everyone did with the scrum training, except that now it will be working with video game design, story lines, drawing, coloring, animation, graphics, etc.. Everyone on the team will have scrum software assign them the video game tasks to which they are best suited. Everyone will get a chance to work on their tasks before sending their completed work on to the next person on the team to add to the video game's components.

About Me

Brick & Mortar Vs Online Businesses: My Experience

I have owned my own small businesses for years, and I have always been happy to share my business tips with other entrepreneurs, especially those just starting out. One question I get asked about a lot is whether it is a better idea for a beginner to open an online business or a brick & mortar shop. While I wish I had a one-size-fits all answer, the truth is that it really depends on what you are selling (or what service you are providing), how the economy is doing in your local area, and your personal business goals and dreams. However, every brick & mortar business should have a website today, and it only makes sense to sell products on a website that your business needs anyway. I have many more business tips to share, and I decided to start a blog to share them with all aspiring entrepreneurs!
